Consensus 2020 is going virtual this year at Consensus: Distributed. This year the conference will span over 5 days and include 150+ amazing speakers from around the world, with 8,000+ registered attendees to date. The Flow team and guests will be joining the Foundations Track on Tuesday, May 12 at 9am PST/ 12pm EST to run a session on Flow - Fast, Scalable, Reliable Blockchain for Next Billion Users and how we are unlocking true on-chain Composability without compromises. Join us for an hour of engaging talks discussing all things Flow and scalability.

  • Layne, Lead Product Manager at Flow, will be discussing Flow’s progress over the last 12 months and a roadmap on our plans moving into the future.

Scaling without sharding, ACID guarantees and node separation of concerns

  • We will be joined by a special guest to give a quick overview of the current state of layer one protocol solutions, what has been tried so far and why Flow chose to implement its new architecture design to tackle some of pending issues in blockchain for mainstream adoption.

Bringing Blockchain to the Mainstream with Caty Tedman (VP of Marketing and Partnerships at Dapper Lab)

  • Caty, VP of Partnerships & Marketing at Dapper Labs, will be discussing building on Flow and bringing blockchain to the mainstream through partnerships such as the NBA.

Intro to Resource-Oriented Programming with Dete Shirley (CTO at Dapper Labs)

  • Dete, CTO at Dapper Labs and Lead Architect of Flow, will introduce the new paradigm of resource-oriented programming applied to Flow smart contract programming language, Cadence: why it offers better security without adding complexity.
